From Lifeguarding to
Building Something Lasting
Marc and Michael Wise co-founded Sweetwater Pools in 2001. Marc had worked in the pool industry since his early days as a lifeguard and swim-team coach. He wanted to build a family-owned company; Michael was still a junior at UGA when they began.
The company started in Marc’s home, moved into a storage unit, and then into a roughly 300-square-foot office. What began as a local pool management company grew into a regional organization serving residential and commercial customers across the Southeast.

Marc Wise
President & CEO
Marc Wise co-founded Sweetwater Pools in 2001 after getting his start in the pool industry as a lifeguard and swim-team coach. What began as a local pool management company has grown under his leadership into a multi-market organization serving residential and commercial customers across the Southeast. Marc continues to guide Sweetwater’s overall direction with a focus on developing strong local teams, delivering dependable service, and creating a pool experience that customers can simply enjoy.
Brandon Bean
President & COO
Brandon Bean joined Sweetwater as its first employee in June, 2001. He became a partner later that same year and has played a key role in helping shape the company into what it is today. His hands-on experience across nearly every aspect of the business has given him a unique perspective on what it takes to provide dependable service, build lasting customer relationships, and develop strong teams. Brandon’s commitment to the company, its customers, and its employees remains at the heart of his role today. He takes pride in the company’s growth while continuing to focus on the same principles that helped establish it in the first place: taking care of customers, standing behind the work, and building relationships that last.
